Demo text and attached sources are processed temporarily to return an estimate and are not saved to a MealSync account or upload bucket. Infrastructure and AI-provider security logs may follow their own documented retention terms.
Saved account meals
Sources attached to a saved meal can be stored in MealSync’s Cloudflare R2 bucket while the meal exists. Deleting the meal or account triggers source-file and metadata deletion safeguards.
- OpenAI receives only the meal context and selected sources needed for estimation.
- Google Health receives only approved structured nutrition fields.
- MealSync does not use meal content for advertising analytics.
The data boundary
MealSync sends the reviewed nutrition record—not your source photo, receipt, menu, label, or voice content—to Google Health.
