Specialized meal logging for Google Health

Turn meal photos into Google Health records you can correct.

Add a photo and the context the image cannot know—such as a menu, receipt, label, portion detail, or voice note. MealSync prepares an estimate, shows its assumptions, and lets you fix the calories and macros before anything is synced.

Why MealSync exists

A better fit for turning real meal context into a record.

MealSync uses a nutrition-focused estimation workflow for one job: turn a hard-to-log meal into one editable estimate, show the assumptions, make every nutrition field easy to correct, and sync only the structured record you approve.

Give the model the full meal

Use a meal photo, menu, receipt, label, text, voice, or a combination. MealSync brings every source into one nutrition-focused estimate.

Review before it counts

MealSync shows calories, macros, and assumptions so you can correct the estimate before saving.

Sync one clean record

After your corrections, MealSync sends the approved calories, macros, meal name, type, and time to Google Health—not the source photos or context.

Questions before you try it

Doesn’t Google Health already have food logging?

Yes. Google Health offers food logging, including photo and conversational logging. MealSync focuses on meals that need more context: combine a meal photo with a menu, label, receipt, or your own notes in one estimate. Check the assumptions, edit the calories and macros, then send the nutrition record you approve to Google Health. Try the free estimate with a meal you actually eat to see whether the workflow suits you.

How accurate are the nutrition estimates?

MealSync uses your meal details alongside any photos or labels you provide to estimate calories and macros. Add portions, ingredients, and cooking details so there is less for the AI to guess. You can inspect its assumptions and correct every nutrition value before saving or syncing. Hidden oils, sauces, and portion sizes can still change the result, so treat the numbers as estimates.

A published study of ChatGPT-5 found lower estimation errors when meal images were accompanied by detailed context and ingredients. That supports providing more context; it does not establish an accuracy score for MealSync, which uses a different model and workflow. Read the study (results and conclusions).

What makes MealSync different?

MealSync is built specifically for difficult meal estimates, not general health coaching. Combine one or several sources, see the assumptions, correct every nutrition field, and sync only the record you approve.

Do I have to upload a photo?

No. You can use only text, only a photo, only a voice note, or combine sources when the meal needs more context.

Will it save wrong numbers automatically?

No. The product is built around review first: check the calories, macros, and assumptions, edit them if needed, then save.

Is this medical advice?

No. MealSync provides nutrition estimates for self-tracking. It is not medical advice, and it is not for diagnosis or treatment decisions.
