Terms of Service

Last updated: 4 August 2026

Operator

MealSync is operated by Magdalena Bachinger, Fuerstallergasse 7, 5020 Salzburg, Austria. For support or legal questions, contact info@getmealsync.app.

What MealSync does

MealSync estimates nutrition from user-provided meal inputs and lets users review those estimates before saving or syncing them. Estimates can be incomplete or inaccurate and should be checked by the user.

No medical advice

MealSync is for personal nutrition self-tracking only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, dietetic, diagnostic, or treatment advice.

Subscriptions

Paid features are expected to include meal history, saved reviewed entries, account persistence, and Google Health / Health Connect workflow features as they are made available for supported devices. Displayed consumer prices include applicable taxes where required. Subscription billing, cancellation, invoices, and payment-method updates are handled through the payment provider’s customer portal.

Subscriptions renew for the selected billing period until cancelled. Cancellation stops future renewals; access may continue until the end of the already-paid period unless the payment provider or applicable law requires otherwise.

Withdrawal, refunds, and digital services

Consumers in the EU/EEA may have a statutory right to withdraw from distance contracts within 14 days. For digital services or digital content, the exact withdrawal and refund rules can depend on when the service starts, whether the user expressly requested immediate performance, and the final checkout wording.

MealSync does not rely on any waiver of withdrawal rights unless the checkout collects the consent and acknowledgement required by applicable law. Refund requests can be sent to the support email and/or handled through Polar according to applicable consumer law.

Service availability and conformity

MealSync is provided as a digital service and may change over time. We aim to keep the service available and working as described, but estimates depend on user-provided inputs and AI processing. Mandatory consumer rights for digital services, including conformity and remedies where applicable, are not limited by these Terms.

Dispute resolution

Please contact info@getmealsync.app first so we can try to resolve issues directly. Consumers may also be able to use recognised Austrian/EU consumer dispute resolution bodies or the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obliged or committed to participate in alternative dispute resolution proceedings unless required by applicable law.

User responsibilities

Users are responsible for reviewing estimates before saving or using them for any health-data write, keeping account access secure, using the product lawfully, and not uploading content they do not have permission to process.
