Google Health is the consumer app and MealSync’s current record destination. Health Connect is Android’s on-device interoperability layer. Google Fit and its APIs are in migration, while the Google Health API is Google’s web-centric cloud integration path.

Why the distinction matters
Health Connect can store NutritionRecord data written by Android apps. That does not mean Health Connect interprets a photo, menu, receipt, or voice note. Capture and estimation happen in MealSync; only the reviewed structured result is sent onward.
The data boundary
MealSync sends the reviewed nutrition record—not your source photo, receipt, menu, label, or voice content—to Google Health.
