Meal logging guide for Google Health
Start with the meal, not a long database search
MealSync gives difficult meals a faster starting point. Describe what you ate or add a photo and supporting context, then review one editable estimate instead of trying to find a perfect match for every component.

Create a Google Health-ready estimateWhere manual logging becomes frustrating
Database logging works well when the exact food and serving are easy to find. It becomes slower for homemade dishes, mixed restaurant plates, local brands, substitutions, and portions that do not match the listed unit.
- A homemade bowl with several ingredients
- A restaurant dish with sauce and sides
- A packaged food plus the portion actually eaten
One flexible capture path
Use text alone or combine it with a photo, menu, receipt, label, file, or voice transcript. MealSync uses the available evidence to prepare one meal estimate.
Faster does not mean automatic
A photo-based estimate can still be wrong. Review the assumptions and edit the calories and macros before you save or sync. MealSync reduces repetitive setup; it does not remove your judgment.
The data boundary
MealSync sends the reviewed nutrition record—not your source photo, receipt, menu, label, or voice content—to Google Health.
